Are you a seeker? A keeper?
If FVHS (and other OC high schools) had a Quidditch team, wouldn’t you love to find out?
Quidditch is the national game in the fictional series “Harry Potter”. There are 7 players, a keeper, 2 beaters, 3 chasers, and a seeker. They play on flying brooms with enchanted playing balls, 2 bludgers, a quaffle, and most importantly, the snitch.
What if Orange County High Schools had Quidditch teams? There would be a whole new possibility for students with not a lot of athletic ability, but a passion for the magical world of Harry Potter. A dream for “Potterheads” everywhere! Aside from the flying objects of course.
If you asked the average Orange County high school student, you would probably get a lot of “Quidditch at my high school? I’m there.” There would be the occasional “What is Quidditch?” And probably less than 20% would be against it.
Why? Maybe they are football players, not wanting to have their sport overshadowed by this magical pastime? Maybe people don’t want to seem obsessed? Maybe they’re just not Harry Potter fans! Regardless, it is my opinion that OC high schools should broaden the sports team diversity even more and include Quidditch!
Are you for Battle of the Snitch?
