Craving Mexican food, but don’t want to hurt your wallet?
Lucky for you, an authentic and affordable Mexican restaurant is located right here in Fountain Valley! Known as Cancun Fresh, this clean and decent-sized restaurant is perfect for families and friends to have lunch or dinner. Those who want to indulge in Mexican food but want to avoid risking their health can also be assured that Cancun Fresh is well-respected for its one-hundred percent authentic ingredients and dishes.
Their food comes in a wide variety, from tacos and enchiladas to burritos and taquitos! Any Mexican food lover can enjoy their favorite dishes along with sides of fresh rice and beans. After you order and pay at the register, you are given a number to put at your selected table. You can snack on tasty nachos and salsa and watch TV while waiting for your food.
When I first came with my family, I ordered soft chicken tacos, which are a dollar each on Taco Tuesdays! Customers can choose fish, steak, beef, or chicken, etc. If you add sides of rice and beans, it also comes with a fountain drink.
After helping myself to the salsa bar and waiting for my food, I waited for about ten minutes before my order came. Their service is speedy and very friendly, so when my dad had a mistake on his tacos, they didn’t hesitate to fix it right away, free of charge! You can tell on the first bite that this is not your normal, greasy and fatty Mexican food you usually see at chain restaurants. My chicken tacos came with diced tomatoes and onions. Being an onion-hater, I was surprised at how well the ingredients came together in the taco. Since then, chicken tacos has been my favorite dish from Cancun Fresh.
Needless to say, this has been my favorite Mexican restaurant. It’s clean, neat, and you feel right at home when entering. Their food is always affordable and delicious, so it’s definitely a double-win. Cancun Fresh is family-owned business and is located on 18010 Newhope Street and Ste B in Fountain Valley. Give your taste buds a try!
Great article Julia! I’m always afraid of going into random restaurants only to discover bad food or unreasonable prices…These restaurant reviews are SOO helpful in finding the good and not-so-good food around here:)
