With December arriving, you just can’t forget Christmas is coming up. And with the holidays, come the trees, ornaments, presents, sweaters, and merry carols. Outbreaks of “Frosty the Snowman”, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, and the unforgettable “fa-la-la-la-las” are everywhere. If your mom is blasting them in the car (of course singing along) or if your best friend is unconsciously humming the tunes without realizing it, you’re bound to hear them…and get them stuck in your head.
Kids too cool for Santa Claus, Christmas sweaters, and “cheesy” Christmas songs are missing out big time. Absolutely nothing is embarrassing or “uncool” about being excited for the “most wonderful time of the year”. There’s nothing like Christmas caroling to bring back the excitement of the wonderful holidays, no matter what age you are. And besides, if you aren’t into the traditional Christmas tunes, there is always the new generation of artists who release modern Christmas songs (in store now: Taylor Swift’s Holiday Collection, Glee’s Christmas volumes, Kenny G.’s jazzy holiday albums, and much more).
But even if these songs are the bomb, it is agreed that singing them a month up to the big day can be a tad annoying right? Wrong, Christmas comes once a year, and so do these classic tunes, so soak them up, because before you know it, you’ll be listening to that overplayed Nicki Minaj song. Again.
Happy Holidays!
Great job, Jessie! I absolutely LOVE Christmas songs! 🙂
