FULLERTON, Calif. — Fountain Valley’s own Future Business Leaders of America chapter attended the annual Southern Section Leaders Conference this past March 3 at Fullerton Junior College.
Future Business Leaders of America is an organization which commits itself to preparing students for success in the world of business.
In a solid showing, the team took home six individual awards and four team awards. FVHS FBLA also finished 9th in sweepstakes. In addition, three members also qualified for state competition during this upcoming April.
Said Co-President Kent Nguyen, “I think that our FBLA chapter did exceptionally well this year. While we did not reach certain goals that we set out to attain, we did manage to get a couple of spots for state. I couldn’t be any more proud of my members.”
Nguyen went on to say, “Our chapter is going to definitely compete [in the State Leadership Conference] and bring home glory for FVHS. After testing out the waters at SSLC, we are definitely going to charge in full force and take state by storm.”

….Wait, Marketing was a 1-person Team Event?
No, we had thought that Marketing was an individual event, and so Jayne registered for it by herself, and it wasn’t until the competition that we discovered that it was actually a team event.
