Ghost Rider Spirit Of Vengeance is the 3D superhero sequel to the ghost rider movie in 2007 starring Nicholas Cage as Johnny Blaze/ Ghost rider. The story talks about a famous motorcycle man named Johnny Blaze, who is still struggling with a curse that he got from making a deal with the devil in the first movie. At the beginning of the film, Johnny is hiding in Europe, until a secret church asks him to save a boy, who is actually the son of the devil, from the devil and in return they will lift his curse. Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance has improved a lot since the first one but like the first one, it’s still a cheesy movie even in 3D.
Let’s talk about the movies effects that everyone wants to hear. The action in this movie was decent. Most of it in this movie was however voice acting to the plot and didn’t have as much action as the first one. The action was improved, thanks to the 3D, but action still lag.
The characters in this movie have some cheesy dialogue and there were unnecessary characters that didn’t help the story. The villains in this movie were not that interesting either. The devil, for example, changes a human into a monster to make him stronger, but he dies without even a fight.
The most disappointing part in the movie, was that Ghost Rider’s ability to steal souls through his gaze was not carried over from the first film.
Now the 3D effects. The effects were okay, but generic and failed to standout in the 3D world. It seemed like there wasn’t enough action for 3D to be appropriate. There were parts where the 3D stood apart from other films, but they were few and didn’t make up for the overall lackluster experience. But if you want to save money, then see it in 2d or wait until the movie comes out on DVD.
Overall, this movie seemed rushed and didn’t reach its full potential. We were looking for improvement in this ghost rider movie , but in this didn’t happen. The plot was not that interesting, 3d effects were bland, the characters were boring, and as a result, the movie was not interesting.
