J. Edgar: A “Questionably” Superior Film

Communists, Bolsheviks, our FBI from humble beginnings, and J.Edgar.

This movie is basically a biopic on J. Edgar, his trials and tribulations. It was tantalizing seeing Mr.Hoover’s life unfold.

J.Edgar served under 8 different Presidents. Through the Depression, Prohibition, and the Red Scare. He was there through the JFK assassination, and in the look for the Lindbergh child. He was a patriot in every sense of the word. However, there was a dark side to the story.

J.Edgar

Leonardo DiCaprio could be deceptive but kind and friendly a second later.  It was signature and it defined Mr.Edgar as a person. He said his words with diction, precision, and clarity. Needless to say, the acting was superb.

J.Edgar was such a dominating figure with such a dominant attitude that captivated the screen he was hard to portray, however it was accomplished. Eastwood didn’t just show why he was known as ,”Speedy,” or why the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Headquarters in D.C. is named after him. He showed what was behind the man behind the suit. That man without the precision, the diction, and the cunning.

This film helped portray the life of J. Edgar. It showed him from birth until death and presented his ultimate immortality in history.

Two Thumbs Up for J.Edgar!
