FVHS Theatre’s annual spring musical is finally here!
The Drowsy Chaperoneis playing April 25th through May 5th!
Don’t know the story of The Drowsy Chaperone? Well, it’s a hilarious story-within-a-story. A nostalgic old man is listening to the soundtrack of his favorite Broadway musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, which is simultaneously performed on stage. The musical we experience with the old man is the story of a young woman torn between her acting career and her fiancé. Aside from the zany characters and entertaining song and dance numbers, what really makes this show a delight is the old man’s constant commentary and interruption, forcing the actors to freeze on stage.
The Drowsy Chaperone had school wide casting, so you’ll see some new faces alongside your favorites up on stage!
Tickets are sold at lunch and after school outside the Theatre Room (309) and cost $10 for students ($8 with Super Baron) and Senior Citizens, and $15 for adults. And for just $5 more, you can attend the Gala following Saturday’s 7pm performance!
Show times are as follow: Thursday (4/26) at 3pm, Friday (4/27) at 3pm, Saturday (4/28) at 3pm & 7pm (Gala Night), Wednesday (5/2) at 3pm, Thursday (5/3) at 7pm, Friday (5/4) at 7pm, and Saturday (5/5) at 3pm.
