At the CIF-SS Division 1 Championships Prelims, Jaime Dang (’13) claimed the 5th place seeding in the 200-yard IM by holding off Mater Dei’s standout, Jiana Vargem (’13). She also sprinted to a 6th place finish in the 100-yard butterfly. Taylor Johnson (’12) placed 9th in the 50-yard freestyle and 10th in the 100-yard freestyle. The 200-yard freestyle relay is seeded 3rd behind JSerra and University with the time of 1:38.31. The 400-yard freestyle relay also qualified for finals with the time of 3:34.71, which was slightly edged by Santa Margarita and Hart. The relays are led by Jaime Dang (’13), Sarah Yao (’14), Jennifer Schulman (’13), and Taylor Johnson (’12).
These girls will return on Friday at Riverside City College Aquatics Complex to swim finals starting at 5:00PM.
