On May 31st, the FVHS Red Cross hosted their semi-annual Blood Drive. Students turned out for the event in droves, surpassing the quota of donations needed.
Every year, the FVHS Red Cross team holds this event, inviting any student over the age of 17 and at least 110 pounds to donate blood. Afterwards, donors replenish their strength with snacks and PB&J sandwiches made by volunteers, and are treated with stickers and t-shirts.
“It’s great to see so many students interested in helping others,” said Vice-President of the FVHS Red Cross Club, Joy Chen. “I think that’s the motto of Fountain Valley High School.”
