The FVHS Orchestra announced their new co-presidents for the 2012-2013 school year at the year-end banquet on May 31st, held at Bayside Restaurant in Newport Beach. Linda Huynh (’13) and Stefania Pombo (’14) won the election, succeeding seniors Emily Stearns and Natalia Pombo.
“Orchestra is a truly special organization,” Pombo stated. “I’ve been in it my entire high school career and it is an honor to be co-president.”
Huynh expressed gratitude for the support of her peers. “I just hope that Stefania and I can make this following school year as good as our predecessors made last year. I couldn’t have come this far without them.”
The FVHS Orchestra presidents have a long list of responsibilities to fulfill. They organize fundraisers, socials, plan spring grams, create rosters and oversee the organization as a whole. It’s a daunting task, but the new co-presidents are ready to tackle any problem that comes their way.
