Mock Trial advanced to the semi-final round for Orange County Mock Trial competition after winning their trial on Thursday.
The prosecution team defeated Trabuco Hills High School in the sixth round and are now part of the Final Four out of 32 teams along with Tesoro, Foothill Knight and Saddleback Christian Academy Scarlet.
“Everyone was on their 110%. Our witnesses were totally prepared, and the objections and responses were amazing,” said Samia Syed (’13).
The defense team will compete next Tuesday, and if they win, they will advance to the finals where they will compete for a spot at the state competition.
“I am very excited, very shocked, but really proud of the team,” says Alicia Lam (’13). “We have gone way further from what I expected. If we can go this far, who knows how far we can get?”
