With finals beginning tomorrow, Barons are studying and working hard to ace their tests.
“What’s there to say? It’s just another test,” said Emmanuel Cardenas (’14). “It has all the combined information from the first semester.”
“I think Finals came really fast and I’m not as ready but I’ve started studying so hopefully I do well.” Vivian Huynh (’14) said.
Vi Pham said (‘15), “I’m pretty stressed about it but then I think of every challenge as another opportunity to succeed.”
“I’m hoping to do well on my finals and I get the grades I want,” said Pham.
“Finals are really stressful because they can make or break your grade,” Avril Carillo (’15) stated.
Finals mark the last tests students take before grades become official for first semester. Most students are hoping that their finals might bump up their borderline grades.
Some students who don’t remember semester material go over study guides and packets to help jog their memories memories. Rebecca Luu (‘14) said, “We have some final packets and we’re just reviewing in class today.”
“I would suggest to an underclassman to pay attention all year so you don’t have to cram and relearn everything the day before finals.” Alexis Castro (’13) advises.
Some good ways to study for finals are:
1. Read or skim over your textbook.
2. Flashcards
3. Review notes
4. Watch Youtube videos on the subject. (Visuals are helpful, but make sure you don’t get distracted!)
5. Ask your friends or teachers to help you with anything you’re not sure of. (They won’t bite.)
Well, good luck Barons, and may finals be ever in your favor.
