Next Friday, March 1st, Mrs. Wakeman from the Career Center will be hosting a field trip to Concordia University for all sophomores and juniors. The trip is during school from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
“I was notified about this in January and applied for a scholarship. FVHS Career Center was awarded a bus and will take 50 students to the Career Forum,” said Mrs. Wakeman.
“Students will able to attend workshops and listen to speakers in over 14 career fields. There are no fees involved, and we will be supplied lunch.”
The trip is focused on exploring the business community. The keynote speaker will be Wing Lam, co-founder of Wahoo’s Fish Taco. Students will attend workshops of their choice, including law, nursing, hospitality, business, aviation, and many more.
“We are looking for juniors interested in career exploration. They should dress in ‘business casual’ attire,” Wakeman said.
There are still spots available. See Mrs. Wakeman in the Career Center to sign up.
