FVHS’s Joni’s Angel hosted a social at Six Flags on Saturday, February 16. It was their second social of the year and the club’s first time at the amusement park.
“I just came up with the idea into having the social at Six Flags,” explained Calvin Wann (‘14), the current publicist of the club.
“The club was craving to have a social because all we’ve been doing lately was only work.”
Members and non-members that attended met at 8:30 A.M. to take a school bus to Valencia.
“We went on only six rides, but it was fun,” said Richard Le (‘14).
Club members played in the park, going on rides, eating, and taking pictures until meeting back in the parking lot at 8 PM, after which they were brought home.
“I’m scared of roller coasters, but I came to meet new people, and I did,” said Brian Nguyen (‘14).
Joni’s Angels is a club that is dedicated into providing a window of time for the relief of the families and children whose lives are profoundly affected by the child’s long-term illness and the catastrophic changes they face in the new focus of each day in their lives.
