Girls tennis had a match against Foothill High School on Sep. 16 on the home courts, but unfortunately was defeated, 7-11.
However, Varsity player Demi Dang (’14) won both her singles matches.
The girls stepped it up another level the next day against Westminster High School and won, 14-4.
“Girls tennis improved a lot and they worked very, very hard. I believe we’re going to have a great experience this season with these phenomenal girls” says Coach Patel.
Still strong, girls tennis defeated Rosary on Sep. 29 for another score of 14-4.
Varsity captain Demi Dang (’14) said, “Last year we lost to both Laguna Hills High School and Irvine High School but this year, we managed to turn the tables, especially for Irvine. Varsity tennis girls are doing a lot better than last year.”
Girls tennis has their next home game, and first league match, Oct. 1 against the Edison Chargers.
