On Tuesday, Oct.1, girls tennis had a tough loss against Edison, losing 8 to 10. They played their matches well and their intensity kept the Chargers from securing a win until the very last moments.
Before the game, varsity Coach Patel said, “No matter what happens girls, you know I still love you.”
Taking their coach’s words seriously, our Barons fought hard on the courts, and lost Edison by a very small margin.
The girls gave it their very best effort, and doubles partners, Ruth Nguyen (’16) and Tanya (’14), and Clarissa (’17), and Vivian (’16), all came out victorious in their matches.
Senior and varsity player, Jayne Yokoyama, said, ” The girls tried their best and that’s all that matters.
And on Thursday, Oct. 3, our Barons lost to Los Alamitos, 1-7.
Girls varsity tennis has their next home game on Oct. 8 against Huntington Beach.
