Both Edison and Fountain Valley High School have sold out all Bell Game tickets for next week’s upcoming annual football game at Orange Coast College.

Edison sold all of their tickets on Thursday. Fountain Valley ran out of tickets before lunch on Friday, and a sign was posted up at the financial office.

The tickets were first sold exclusively to students and staff on Oct. 22.  The financial office was crowded with students in the morning, during lunch, and after school trying to pay for tickets. General public ticket sales began on Oct. 24.

Students from both schools who were unable to purchase tickets were upset. To some, the Bell Game is the biggest football game of the year.  Bell Week commemorates the school spirit and anticipation for the game on Friday.

“I was really looking forward to the game and had a great feeling that we’d bring home the bell this year,” Amanda Lee (’16) said. “But lesson learned, take advantage of getting your tickets earlier.”

Contrary to public speculation, the Bell Game will not be moved to a larger location. Because Edison is the home team this year, FVHS has no jurisdiction over venue changes.  Normally, if a change in venue were required, Cerritos College would be the alternate location.  Unfortunately, there is already another game happening there on the same night.

This year’s Bell Game against Edison will be White Out themed and will take place next Friday at LaBard Stadium.

  1. Some students are selling them for $50 a ticket, that’s just ridiculous. There should’ve been a minimum number of tickets per person.

  2. You would think after all the years with the Bell Game, that someone would “get it right”? They use to play Angel Stadium. Maybe next year?
