Physics students left senior classes empty and went to Knott’s Berry Farm for the annual Physics Fun Day event. Students were given packets to complete and instructions to enter physics competitions for free Knott’s tickets.

Mimi Chen (‘14) said, “This trip was educational and worthwhile as I learned to use an inclinometer to measure angles of heights while I waited in line for rides and worked on the physics packet.”

A break from the normal school week was also a relief for many students. Tiffanie Ta (‘14) said, “The best part about going to Knott’s was definitely spending time with friends and having such a relaxing day.”

“It was similar to a day off from school but education still came along on the trip!” said Ta.

Physics Fun Day has been an ongoing tradition for some time now, and future physics students hope that it will continue in the future.
