This past summer, Tiffany Tran headed off on a European adventure to Spain, France, Italy, Monaco, and the Vatican City. She stayed in Europe for a total of 17 days. While in Italy, she enjoyed a stay in an Italian family home and got the chance to see how they carried out their daily lives.
Although she visited many historical landmarks, seeing the Colosseum was her most memorable moment because “you can truly feel all the history behind it”.
Thousands of tourists flock to Europe year-round, so it’s no surprise that the locals were pretty used to foreigners. However, there were some remarkable differences between European lives and American ones, as Tiffany learned.
“The legal age to begin driving and working in Europe is eighteen,” said Tran. “So they were very surprised when they found out I did both even though I’m only sixteen.”
