Fountain Valley’s varsity boys tennis battled it out in the second game of the preseason against Laguna Hills on Tuesday, March 3.
The team played efficiently and charged into the game ready to go, earning another win of 13-5. From the lineup to the subs, the players did their best, showing off what they’d gained over the year in preparation.
“I feel like it’s been a good season so far,” said Brandon Huynh (’16). “We’ve started off pretty good.”
From the start, the Barons managed to secure winning matches in each set of rounds between their doubles and singles teams, only losing one or two games in between. Round after round the boys played hard to try and bring in the tough wins. This preseason, the team hit the ground running, ready to take every game in stride and do their best.
“The game looks pretty good today as our doubles and singles work hard to take all three for everyone,” said Johnny Luu (’15), varsity co-captain. “Some tough wins but everyone’s doing pretty good. The season so far for the past two games looks bright.”
With the hard work of all the players, the boys managed to bring home the win with a score of 13-5, against Laguna Hills.
“We did good today,” said Albert Ton (’18). “Pretty good.”
