Hundreds of freshmen and new students got a first taste of Baron pride this Monday and Tuesday during the annual Link Crew orientation inside the gym.
Greeted on a cheer tunnel full of Link Crew leaders, Associated Student Body (ASB) and cheerleaders, the freshmen made their way to the gym where they received name tags and Link Crew group assignments. The program began with the cheer squad, who pumped up the new students. After, history teacher and Link Crew coordinator Cory Nelson welcomed the crowd in games, competition, and song. New FVHS Principal Morgan Smith introduced himself and the Administrative Principals.
Later, Link Crew leaders led groups of freshmen and new students together in small groups for orientation. The students played games and bonded with one another before embarking on a campus tour. To complete the Link Crew experience, ASB rallied the crowd together with FVHS’s traditional cheers.
