Have you ever wanted to improve your voice….and ‘wow’ the world with your music! A great first step is joining our award-winning Vocal Music Program! With our 7 different choirs, there is definitely a place for EVERYONE! Auditions are approaching in mid-May for our advanced Concert Choir and the world-renowned Troubadours! The Dance Team Auditions and Spring Show are coming soon! Dance team auditions are May 9th-13th in room 309. All information is on the team website, fvhsdanceteam.com, in the audition packet that must be read, printed, signed and brought to the first day of auditions. Next Saturday, May 7th at 6pm in the gym the dance team will be performing all of their competition routines plus a few new ones, along with several other guest performers. If you didn’t get a chance to watch them compete this season then this is your last chance to see them in action!! Tickets are $5 presale and $7 at the door. See Mrs. Allen in room 210 for audition questions or presale tickets.
Wednesday, May 4th at 7pm in the student Cafeteria, Grad Night 2016 is having a mandatory meeting for all Senior Parents who’s child is attending Grad Night, or parents who are interested in helping out. We need hundreds of parent volunteers to make this evening a success, and to carry on this wonderful tradition for years to come! Grad Night depends on donations from people like you to keep it going. We are in need of cases of water, soda, sports drinks, as well as many bags of bite-sized candy. Those who bring a bag/box to this meeting will receive an extra raffle ticket for the cash prize drawings. Raffle is open to all grade level students. All parents can bring donations and fill out raffle tickets with their child’s name, student ID number and year of graduation. Tickets will be put in their child’s respective graduation class year container. If you would like to donate and cannot make the meeting, you may drop off your donations ANY TIME at the FV Fire Station (directly across from the school on Bushard). Please drop off under the covered area out front, no need to bother the firefighters. They bring the donations inside every night. Your donations are tax deductible.

Want to make Friday, May 13th your lucky day? Come to the FVHS Staff vs. Students Charity Basketball game in the gym on May 13th at 5:30. In addition to watching your favorite staff battling the FVHS Varsity team and supporting a good cause, you may be selected to try for a half court shot and win free Chick-fil-A for a year! Come hungry as Chick- fil-A sandwiches will be sold at the game. Tickets are only $5 for students, $10 for staff, and can be purchased from Mr. Schultz in room 129, Mrs. Springer in room 112 or from a student in the Chick-fil- A Leader Academy. Look for them wearing their T-shirts! All proceeds from the game will go to support the Orangewood Foundation which supports foster and underprivileged youth.

This Saturday is your last opportunity to clear Saturday School before Prom sales. Wear your work clothes. It’s another campus clean up. Saturday School starts at 7:30 and ends at 11:45. Supervision is still accepting Freeway Daisy and drought tolerant plant donations. Donations help offset detention and Saturday School hours that are owed.
Congratulations to the B4L winners for April. They are Hansen Nguyen, Jennifer Nguyen, Kayla Borack, lan To, Aden Lam, Andrew T Nguyen, Liann Nguyen, Mireya Perez and Kenny Nguyen. They each won a $25 gift card of their choice.

Congratulations to our Baron Track Team, Boys Varsity, JV & Frosh/Soph are Sunset League Champions. For the Girls team, JV & Frosh/Soph won League and Varsity finish in 2nd place. Way to dominate Barons!
Congratulations to Eric Nguyen & Andrew Nguyen who won the doubles Championship yesterday! Eric Tadros won the JV singles League Championship and Jason Tran took 3rd place. Great job Tennis!
Softball got a big win against Marina 3-2 yesterday, their record is 4-4 in league. Next game is Tuesday at Edison. We could use a big cheering section game is at 3:15. GO Barons!
