Barons springing into break April 14, 2017September 14, 2020 kaitlynngo by Kaitlyn Ngo, Staff Writer and Photographer and Calvin Tran, Staff Photographer “During Spring Break, I am planning on going on a college tour up the coast of California. I am planning on visiting UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara and Stanford for unofficial visits just to explore and learn more about their volleyball programs. I’m excited to learn more about their programs and visit the colleges. Overall I am hoping to have a great time with my family and friends,” said Phoebe Minch (‘20). “I’m going to be at a baseball tournament during Spring Break. I’m especially excited to go the Varsity Baseball Team’s game at the Angels Stadium on Monday. I’m going to go play at my game and probably after I’m going to head over to the stadium to watch the game and support the team. Besides that I’m going to have a fun time on vacation with family and friends,” said Craig Fast (‘20). “I’m going to be studying for AP tests because I’m hoping to get higher scores this year. I’m also very excited to be hanging out with my family and celebrating Easter together. I also am looking forward to hanging out with friends because I haven’t really gotten the time to do so. I’m hoping to go hiking, go watch a movie, and possibly pick up a new hobby like planting,” said Victoria Nguyen (‘18). “I’m planning on going out a lot with my friends to just enjoy my time off, because I am a senior so this might be some of my last chances to spend until I have to attend to my adult responsibilities. I’m also going on a three day convention trip to San Ramone with KIWIN’S. I know it’s gonna be a lot of fun and that there’s going to be a lot of crying because this is my last year here. Overall I think spring break is going to be very enjoyable, my main plan is to hang out with friends to just reconnect with them since school is very stressful,” said Dylan Huynh (‘17). “SATs are coming up and AP tests too, so I’m going to have to start studying during spring break. But aside from all the boring stuff, I plan to go to the beach with my friends as well as attending an event called DCON with the club KIWIN’S. So I’m really looking forward to that. I’m also really excited to try new food places like The Cookie Dough Cafe. I also hope to get my permit by the end of spring break and going job hunting,” said Parihan Asif (‘18). “I am planning on hanging out with my friends, catching up on assignments, and being with my family. I was going to go to Big Bear with my family for four days and then come back to spend the rest of spring break with friends. My mom just recently bought a cabin for us up there, so we’re gonna go to clean it up and use it. I’m mostly excited to go skiing as well as snowboarding. I really want to go to the beach or possibly the pool. My goal is to be with my family a little bit more, because I haven’t really been able to as well as catching up on sleep,” said Christian Pardon (‘19).
