There’s always that one person in November who always ‘grinches’ about the Christmas music playing “too early” on the radio. At the same time, there’s another person who’s always ready to dive into such songs to get an early taste of Christmas spirit. We decided to go around Fountain Valley High School and ask students when they think is the best time to start listening to Christmas songs.
“[People should] listen to Christmas music a little after Thanksgiving because Thanksgiving is still a holiday to celebrate and Christmas is after it,” said freshman Jessica Le.
“November [is a good time] because you should listen to Christmas music as long as possible,” said freshman Adam Garrison.
“You should be able to listen to Christmas music whenever you want because you shouldn’t have society dictate your actions,” said sophomore Michelle Pham.
“Yearlong because it’s great,” said freshman Triston Taite.
“We should listen to Christmas music after Thanksgiving Break,” said sophomore Tiffany Do.
“[People should listen] after Thanksgiving. I really like Thanksgiving and I think it should be appreciated as a unique holiday and there shouldn’t be an overlap of Christmas and Thanksgiving,” said junior Maya Bello.
