This year, around 15 new members, including me, joined BBN for season 17. With the help of the veterans, we have been able to learn everything we need to know to successfully create amazing projects on our own. For example, take a look at episode 6. Did you watch it? If not, you are missing out, big time. “FVHS The Game,” was produced and filmed by all new members, juniors Jason Luong, Ethan Gray, Tracey Huynh and Jeannie Lee. They worked tirelessly to learn new graphics and editing styles. The package received lots of positive feedback, respectively.
These four aren’t the only new members whose hard work have been appreciated. Five out of seven of the members of the month have been new to this class.
“I was ecstatic and really happy that others felt that I was contributing to the class, it’s nice to be acknowledged for your work,” said senior Zeina Elrachid who won November member of the month.
New member junior Jeannie Lee also received member of the month for the month of October.
“It was such a rewarding experience. Especially being a new member and all, it really felt like all the hard work was recognized. I was really thankful for everyone who I worked alongside with and I’m especially thankful for those who showed me the ropes. and with that, I want to use the experience I’ve gathered so far to continue making great projects with everyone because it’s what I truly enjoy doing,” said Lee.
This goes to show that people who work hard get what they want and eventually get recognized for it. Most people who come into BBN don’t know much about cameras or editing, but their positive attitude and hard work makes up for it. So if you or anyone you know is interested in joining BBN next year, my advice for you is to give it your all and shoot your shot!
