A Baron’s guide to Knott’s Berry Farm

By Isabella Purdy, Staff Writer

Knott’s Scary Farm is opening on Sept. 19 and while it is one of the most popular events for Barons to attend, the website can be confusing and misleading about prices.  As a result, Baron Banner has compiled a guide to help fellow Barons have a great time at Knott’s Scary Farm.

There are three ticket prices at Knott’s Scary Farm. One is a pass to all of the nights Scary Farm is open for. The price for this ticket is $100 and these passes help save you $10. Then, there is a General Admission plus Fast Pass that gives you priority maze and attraction access.  While the price is hefty at $125 with $5 in savings for pass holders, it has its uses.

“Even though I was there until Midnight, I still didn’t get to go through all the mazes.  The Fastpass does have its uses,” said senior Montana Franks, who goes to Scary Farm every year and knows her way around the event.

The last kind of ticket that you can purchase is General Admission that gives you maze and attraction access, but no Fastpass.  It starts at $38 for pass holders and $43 for the general public.

Having a Knott’s pass is very beneficial in order to save money along with buying tickets online for a much cheaper price than what the price would be if bought in the park.

Mazes are the biggest deal at Scary Farm for Barons.  However, the lines can get very long so it would be wise to pick and choose what mazes you really want to do in order to ensure that you’re able to do them.

Scary Farm opens at 7 p.m. and closes at 1 a.m.  Those who have been before recommend leaving at midnight before the adult crowd comes in and further crowds Scary Farm in its last hour.

There are nine mazes this year, two being new and seven being returners from previous years.  Origins: The Curse of Calico and Wax Works are the two new mazes and the returners are Dark Entities, Dark Ride, Paranormal Inc., Pumpkin Eater, Shadow Lands, Special Ops: Infected and The Depths.

Baron Banner hopes that this guide has helped answer some questions and we wish you a happy spooky season!
