On Friday, the Barons boys volleyball team beat Laguna High School, 3-0 in an exhilarating game.

The team was motivated by the cheers coming from their fans and families in the crowd. It was also senior night for the Barons, which brought more excitement to the players and the fans.

The Barons encouraged their teammates throughout the game by shouting encouragement and sharing laughs and smiles.

The first set consisted of rallies between the two teams, going back and forth. The Barons won their points by aggressively blocking the ball, winning them valuable points.

It was a close game, yet the Barons came out on top winning the first set of the night.

By the second set, the Barons jumped high into the air to set, spike and hit the ball until they gained a victory over Laguna.

The rallies played by the Barons and Laguna kept everyone on the court on edge, and the Barons continued to play hard and kept a consistent rhythm.

Communication between the Barons was also highlighted during the game, which was a key factor in getting the ball over the net.

“For sure we did good on hitting, we can definitely work on communicating more, keep it louder on the court, keep the energy up, but that wasn’t much of a problem today because our energy was up and everything was good,” senior Daniel Luu said.

Once again, the Barons came out on top and won the second set of the game, ready to do the same in the next.

Starting off the third set strong, the Barons hit aces and unforgiving down balls onto Laguna.

Despite the consistent returns from Laguna, the Barons would control the ball between each other and return an impossible ball for Laguna to hit.

As the senior night game ended, the Barons won the third and final game of the set, winning 3-0.

“Our expectations were to play hard, play consistently and have some fun. We did really good on communicating and having fun out there,” senior Treay Parazzo said.

The Barons have continued to improve throughout the season, despite the obstacles and are continuing to fight strong and play hard.
