The world of literature has so many great writers and now it is about to be gifted with yet another one —Bethany Nguyen.
Senior Bethany Nguyen joined Baron Banner this year to deepen her love for English and writing before she leaves for college.
“I just love hearing other people’s stories and feel like so many people have so many different things to say. I want to be a part of their journey and help them get their stories to the world,” Nguyen said.
As a kid, reading taught her to be an attentive and observant person. When she’s not immersing herself in dimensional pictures of fiction, you can find Nguyen volunteering at her local church, with her kind-hearted soul, helping children.
“I’m a teacher’s aide for religious education classes, so I’ve helped teachers teach second graders with their faith,” Nguyen said.
Nguyen loves spending time with the people she treasures most: family and friends. Going to concerts, listening to Daniel Caesar, and trying new cafes: these are all activities Nguyen can’t fully enjoy without someone by her side to create lasting memories with her.
No matter what Nguyen does, staying organized and properly managing time are always important.
“My number one app [on my phone] is Timetree, which is a calendar app. It helps me organize all of my events and tasks because I can color-code and set dates and reminders for everything I need to do,” Nguyen said.
For Nguyen, high school has passed by in the blink of an eye. Now that she’s already a senior, soon to graduate, the beautiful friendships, big football games, and moments of high school will forever stay in her heart.
“Organize your time. Make sure that all of your assignments are done. And also, just enjoy high school,” Nguyen said.
