Tony Vo is someone who cares about people. Whether they’re close or far, there’s no one he wouldn’t want to lend a helping hand to.

As a new staff member, Vo is excited to explore lifestyle writing, review cafes and use Baron Banner as a creative outlet.

When he’s not working on schoolwork, you can find him in the kitchen cooking up his favorite meals for his favorite people – his family – or playing games like Genshin Impact and Minecraft.

“It really made a difference for me during the pandemic period when I had nothing else to play, and after my friend introduced me to it I really liked it,” Vo said.

That being said, Vo’s love for his family proceeds all. His only wish is that one day, he and his brother will be able to get good jobs in order to support his family.

“I really do love them, and I just wish that [my brother and I], one day, we can get good jobs to support them,” Vo said. “My dad, since my dad’s nearly 60, so I just so I don’t want him to worry about working too much.”

Due to his knack for cooking, Vo channels his passion into cooking tasty dishes for his family. His favorite thing to make are vegetable pancakes.

“I like to cook because sometimes it just gives my parents more time – more time to get some of the other things,” Vo said.

While he admires many of the seniors on campus, Vo’s biggest inspiration is his older brother.

“He always gets good grades and this year he’s in the marching band,” Vo said.

In 10 years, Vo hopes to have a stable job in business and afford his own place. In his free time, he wants to be athletic and hit the gym, while still having time to hang out with his siblings afterward.
