As the crisp, orange leaves fall on the ground and people decorate their porches with scary skeletons, it becomes evident that it is the spooky season. What makes Halloween more special than the other holidays is that you can dress up and pretend to be whoever or whatever you want for a day.
From movie characters to pop culture references, Fountain Valley High School students express their personalities and interests through their costumes.

“I’ve always loved the fashion from [“Cruella”] and this was probably one of the easier [outfits] to recreate. I absolutely love dressing up,” junior Katie Miller said. “Although not everyone dresses up, this is a really fun day for me to do it, along with some of my friends.”
“I’m dressed [as] Deadpool and I have Wolverine right here. I dress up every year [and] I’m not going to miss a year unless I’m in a coma,” sophomore Henry Darrow said.
“My mom made [my family] all dress up and she wanted us to all match. So my sister, my stepdad and I were all Beetlejuice because … [you say] Beetlejuice three times and my mom was Lydia,” sophomore Bella-Grace Nguyen said. “I really enjoy putting on dramatic makeup [and] I also like to participate in a lot of school activities.”
