Have you ever just wanted to go out and explore a new hobby? You have the drive and the ideas yet nothing comes of it? Maybe hearing the inspiring story of London Mai Lee can help you explore those interests.
Lee started her brand new hobby of nails out of an ambition and dedication for art. Lee wanted to create, and create she did. Her nail work is impressive pieces of art, whether it be the intricate details of something as small as a ladybug or perfect lines on a star.
“Ever since I was little I’ve been very artistic, I’ve always liked painting and drawing, and I’ve kind of found it as an outlet to express myself,” Lee said.
For someone who only started doing nails two months ago, Lee’s nail art is not only extremely intricate but also very versatile. She can design just about anything if you want the smallest details in the world, and Lee won’t hesitate to say yes. She is always ready for a challenge when it comes to nails.
Her ability to just say yes to whatever your needs are for your nails ties into her amazing customer service. She is always ready to squeeze you into her schedule whenever she has the time, pushing away her own needs for the sake of your nails looking pretty.
This is reflected when Lee is asked the question, “What are some things people may need to know when going into this hobby?”
“I suppose anything with customer service, you should always acclimate to your customer and be good at communicating and organizing,” Lee said. “Because I have a very tight schedule because of ASB and other activities, I have to accommodate for my clients’ nail appointments.”
Overall, Lee is an extremely talented and hard-working student at Fountain Valley High School. She is inspiring when it comes to pursuing art for others to enjoy. Lee is versatile in what she can do, whether it be her ability to change her schedule for her clients or her passion and drive to keep creating these wonderful works of art.
