CSF held their first event of the year at the Rink Westminster Ice in Anaheim Saturday night.
Nervous first-time skaters and hand-holding couples all had a great time. “It felt romantic,” said Brandon Huynh (‘14), while Ralph Lee (‘13) felt that “it was so hard to skate!”
Some of the skaters insisted that the famous Gangnam Style song be played, so the DJ held a friendly dance competition in the middle of the rink.
For those who preferred not to skate, there was an arcade and a snack bar with pretzels, pizza, and hot chocolate. CSF members also mingled and socialized with one another.
“The event was an overall success,” said Dorothy Nguyen (’13), who is the president of CSF. “We received a lot of good feedback from those who went, and we managed to raise 400 dollars in scholarship money from the social. Hopefully this event becomes a club tradition that’ll carry on for many years because it seems like many people really enjoyed it.”
