On Wednesday, January 9, Girls Water Polo took on Newport Harbor High School; despite the young team’s attempts to overpower their opponents, they lost the game 1-11.
Captain Meredith Lightbody (‘14), who scored the Barons’ only goal, says, “Even though we’re young, we’re definitely improving and building a stronger team for the future.”
“We’ll keep working hard and getting better, and hopefully we’ll be able to beat Edison!” she said.
The Barons’ are currently 0-2, but the team hopes to continue to develop their strategies and improve their plans for their next four league games.
