Coming from a small middle school with no clubs, freshman Hien Bui was intimidated on her first day of high school. She is excited for her future endeavors, easily feeling accomplished by just getting to school on time. Knowing that middle school didn’t prepare her for high school, she’s looking forward to be a part of new clubs and having friends that can be the foundations for her success in the future.
Outside of school, Bui is a huge fan of One Direction, specifically Zayn Malik. Despite their recent breakup, she still fantasizes about dating one of the boys. Bui’s favorite food constantly changes but right now she craves chicken alfredo. When she has some free times, her favorite show to watch is “Parks and Recreation”.
“Parks and Recreation is so much better than “The Office”, you just need to skip the first season,” Hien claimed.
Only a freshman, she already has her mindsets to become a nurse. Influenced by her parents, she’s hoping to achieve their expectations through her hard work and dedication. Bui is working hard to pursue a career in nursing, planning to apply to the local hospital in April for more experience.
During seventh grade she competed in the National History Day (Orange County version), unfortunately, she submitted her work late and didn’t get the winning price.
Hien joined Baron News because she was inspired by junior John Le’s moving speech about how amazing Baron News really is.
