In this world, there are two types of people: those who drown out their dreams and those who chase madly after their dreams.
Energetic, adventurous and spontaneous freshman Jenny Le fits into the latter of the two categories. Le enters this coming year as Baron Banner’s only freshman member, fresh and ready to dabble in all things that she may be interested in. It’s her first year of high school and she’s ready. Ready for running frosh cross country, helping others through Kiwins.
“It’s my first year of high school and I think I’m not going to know what to do half the time. It’s my first year so it’s all about experimentation, you know?”
Le is a go-getter, willing to throw herself into anything that piques her interest. When she was four, her musical journey began. She began taking piano lessons until she took on guitar, until she took on the flute at school, and until she began playing the tympani for the school band. At that point, it was simply natural for her to pick up the trombone, clarinet, and piccolo. Le ended up learning the ukulele on her own. Some might say it was purely talent that allowed her to acquire the fluency of seven instruments, but truly it was a combination of her own determination and motivation that drove her to acquire the seven instruments. In the summer of eighth grade, Le found that she enjoyed drawing and sketching, but she didn’t find satisfaction in her works. Consequently, she spent that whole summer practicing the trade.
“I’m kind of like a jack of all trades, in the most humble way,” said Le.
Her decision to take Japanese and her application to all the divisions of Baron News were no different. She noted that it was unorthodox to take the Asian world language it the context of FVHS and that the class would prove to be a challenge. Those were the exact two reasons why she ended up taking the class.
Because of her ambition and drive, Le is bound to spend her high school years well. She’s a reliable and open person who’s willing to go the distance to bring her ideal into existence and there’s no stopping her. Who knows? She might even break a record.
