Madeline Ramirez

By Junnana Chen, Staff Cartoonist

There’s a tiny senior in your class. She seems familiar, maybe you’ve seen her on soccer or you’ve seen her running around a neighborhood. All you know is that she sits in your class radiating with a bright energy.

She seems friendly right? She’s hunched over and lightly tickling her paper with her pencil. Glancing at her phone every few seconds, you see that she’s drawing a photo of her dog in the corner of her paper.

It’s apparent that AP studio art has polished Madeline Ramirez’s aptitude for art. Considering she has been into art for as long as she can remember, it’s no wonder how she effortlessly crafts masterpieces in seconds. Her ability must be shared and shown to everyone.

“I am aiming for a storyboard artist, which is like a career in the animations,” she said, “It kind of just clicked with me and it’s my outlet for stuff. Everyone kinda has their thing.” You can see the hope twinkle in her eye as she fantasizes being the reason why concepts become a reality.

Focusing on Western animations, like cartoons, she channels inspiration into her artwork. Alternative and musical soundtracks flow through her brain and onto her canvas; may it be her wall or corner of math homework.

Her other thing would be English, which is why she joined Baron Banner.

“I have an easy time with English so I could see if I could write,” Ramirez said.

Being the creative she is, she likes the Gone series.

As a double threat, you can see the ex-soccer player running around Fountain Valley. Running is her other outlet for emotions and helps her maintain her health as well. Her diet comprises of tropical fruits which she enjoys as often as she can.
