Senior Ansharah Asif is sharing her talent for writing again in her second year in Baron Banner.
Asif always puts out her best work and expresses herself through writing.
“I’ve never been like artistic, so writing has been like the one way of expressing myself, and I’ve enjoyed it since I was in elementary school,” Asif said.
If she could travel to another place, she would choose Bali for its tropical and rich culture. However, Asif’s favorite place to travel is Pakistan because that’s where most of her family is.
Family is important to her; her mom is her role model.
“My biggest inspiration is definitely my mom—just seeing like the challenges, she’s always pushing me to do my hardest and do my best,” she said.
Just as she enjoys writing, Asif likes listening to Kpop, groups such as BTS and Blackpink. She also includes a mix of American pop in her playlist. You can also catch her playing basketball or hanging out with her friends when she’s not doing any assignments.
“I usually play basketball with friends, or I also like to paint landscapes, me and my friends usually go on like little picnics and we paint or we’ll just have really long conversations,” Asif said.
Asif is very proud of herself for making it this far. Feeling highschool went by in a flash, she’s very satisfied with how she has changed over the years. Her changes in her academics and social skills satisfy her as she feels that she has improved greatly.
“Just seeing like how far I’ve come along, academically but even as a person, like how my ability to reach out to people has changed. I’m just really proud to see myself that way,” she said.
Asif is excited for what Baron Banner holds this year after the pandemic outbreak.
