Senior Ashley Trinh loves to dance.
Whether she is dancing around while eating her favorite food or taking dance classes at Offstage, a dance studio in Los Angeles, you will always find her in motion.
For example, moving over from the Fountain Valley High School Dance Team to Baron Banner.
“I have always had a bit of an interest in writing, and I love my life, I just love creating writing and creative writing in general,” Trinh said.
Trinh puts effort into everything she does, and her creative outlets are never exhausted. Employing her creative side outside of school, she enjoys trying new skincare, doing her friends’ nails and dying her hair (her craziest color being a red/orange mixture).
“I love being involved with school culture and also like being involved with my friends,” Trinh said. “And so I just hope to create more friends … and also have fun writing and finding out more about the world.”
When not dancing to music, Trinh is often listening to multiple genres of music. She claims to have no favorites but holds Channel Orange, an album by Frank Ocean, close to her heart. One of her favorite ways to listen to music is when it is accompanied by food.
“If I eat food, and I really like it, I start dancing … I love Japanese food,” Trinh said.
In all that she does, authenticity shines through as one of her core beliefs. Inspired by her parents, she will always preach a hard-working attitude and being true to yourself.
“Don’t change your personality so you can be around a certain type of person,” Trinh said.
