On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) Girls’ Basketball played against the Huntington Beach High School (HBHS) Oilers for their senior night. 5 seniors were recognized including Sophie Hsieh, Kaylin Huynh, Avery Jones, Kailey Nishi, Kaylana Sitanggan, and Helen William. The Barons fought hard, but unfortunately lost to the Oilers 47-60.
On Wednesday, Jan. 28, the FVHS Barons lost 52-71 to the Los Alamitos Griffins in their final game of the season.
Fountain Valley boys’ soccer team wins against Corona Del Mar with a score of 4-1.
The Barons lost 2-11 to the Edison Chargers on Tuesday after Edison scored six goals within the first period.
On Tuesday, Jan. 23, Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) Boys’ Basketball celebrated their senior night with a 62–57 victory over the Newport Harbor Sailors.
On Jan. 20, 2025, Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) Girls’ Basketball (3–3 league, 12–10 overall) battled against the Corona Del Mar (CDM) Sea Kings in an intense matchup that pushed both teams to their limits. In the end, the Barons fought hard for a 47–42 overtime victory on their home court.
On Friday and Saturday, Barons wrestling took home third place overall at the Five Counties wrestling tournament.
