After their fourth place finish in the CIF Southern Section competition, the girls’ cross country team competed at the CIF state meet for the first time in 11 years and placed eighth in California’s Division One.

Barons rally back in the second half against Newport Harbor with the final score of 34-21 to clinch spot in the C.I.F playoffs.
At their final conference meet of the season, both the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams dominated their leagues across levels. Although the boys just missed qualifying for CIF, the girls’ varsity team did so easily and are now heading to CIF Prelims.
On Friday, the Barons suffered a devastating loss to Edison High school in the annual bell game with a score of 20-42.
The Barons’ varsity field hockey team defeated Great Oak High School with the score 1-0.
