Elsa Ly is an artist of her world.
As an artist, it is your job to make the things around you look beautiful and to share the beauty of your personality with others.
Ly does that. Every day. Everywhere. With anyone.
The senior joined Baron Banner her junior year, inspired by her sister, and according to Ly, “was absolutely terrible at taking pictures.”
After a year, Ly has developed a bright and bubbly style in her photos and shares that with others daily as a co-photo manager for Baron Banner.
“I like Baron Banner because I have somewhat creative freedom and it’s something that I actually like to do,” Ly said.
Beyond Baron Banner, Ly’s bright and bubbly editing style translates to her personality, where she is always looking for people to share her positivity with.
For the 2022-23 school year, Ly is part of two new clubs: FV Reels, whose purpose is to teach and practice film, and Baron Meets World, whose purpose is to prepare students for post-high school life. Ly is also on board for California Scholarship Federation, a volunteer organization.
In her personal life, Ly cultivates her artistic skills with hobbies like embroidering, crocheting and making stickers. If it wasn’t already evident, you could learn more about Ly’s liveliness from her music taste. She loves Rich Brian and Kpop, specifically BTS and NCT, groups that are known for their poppy genre.
Ly takes her exuberant smile and shares it with the world through photos, extracurriculars and friendship.
If being an artist means mastering your creativity and imagination, then we must all be artists. Because we can only imagine what it would be like if Elsa Ly wasn’t radiating happiness.
