Boys’ water polo falls to the Western Pioneers

On Monday Oct. 22, Fountain Valley High School boys’ water polo just fell short of securing a win at their second to last game of the season.

The Barons played five sets against the Sunny Hills Lancers and won with a score of 3-2 on Friday.

The Barons were overwhelmed with Newport’s kills but gave a good fight before ultimately succumbing 1-3 on Tuesday.

With a strong performance on Friday, boys’ volleyball swept their first game of the league season 3-0.

Fountain Valley boys’ volleyball swept the Garden Grove Argonauts in a 3-0 victory on Monday.

The Barons swept the Calvary Chapel Eagles with a final score of 3-0 on Wednesday.

In their first game of the season, boys’ volleyball overcame Westminster High School 3-1 after losing the first set.

In the first round of the CIF-SS Division Four playoffs, the Barons conceded a last-minute goal to lose their first-ever home playoff game 5-6.

The Barons outscored the Mustangs eight goals to two in the second half but ultimately fell short in the 8-10 defeat.
