On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) Girls’ Basketball played against the Huntington Beach High School (HBHS) Oilers for their senior night. 5 seniors were recognized including Sophie Hsieh, Kaylin Huynh, Avery Jones, Kailey Nishi, Kaylana Sitanggan, and Helen William. The Barons fought hard, but unfortunately lost to the Oilers 47-60.
The Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) girls varsity soccer team suffered a 1–5 loss against Huntington Beach, but the final score did not reflect the effort, leadership, and determination shown by the Lady Barons throughout the match.
The FVHS Barons secured their second win of the season with a score of 56-49 against the Huntington Beach Oilers.
The No Kings protests emerged as a response to recent policies made by the Trump administration that were seen as an overreach of Constitutional powers, creating a space to express dissatisfaction with the current president.
The amount of third places in our community is decreasing, and let’s change that.
