PHOTO ESSAY: Girls’ Tennis crushes Los Alamitos with a brutal score of 16-2

On Oct. 16, Fountain Valley High School’s varsity girls’ tennis team (13-2 overall, 3-2 league) faced Los Alamitos in a heated match-almost matching the 72 degree weather they played under.

8 out of 9 members collective won all 3 rounds, resulting in the impressive winning score of 16-2.

Sophomore Samantha Nguyen showed an impressive streak of victories scoring 6-1 on the first round and 6-0 for the remaining two rounds.

Sophomore Gwendolyn Nguyen and senior Sophia Do expressed their emotions for the pacing competition.

“Sophia and I played really good [in] last round; [the] first two we did good but [we felt] iffy [about it].” Gwendolyn Nguyen said.
