The FVHS boys golf team won 183 to 197 against Huntington Beach on Thursday, March 21st. The match proved to be a career high for FVHS, with everyone on the team achieving perfection.
Captain Jordan Meas (’14) and Joey Huynh (’15) both shot 37. Jeffery Gathman (’15), Chris Feltman (’16), and Ryan Cross (’14) all shot 38. The highlight was from Captain Andre Vu shooting a 33 and medaling as well.
“Our team had a great day. [It was] our best performance this season as a team against a tough well-stacked team,” said Meas.
This match marks the boys’ first league win of the season and continues their goal of making Sunset League. Their standings are currently 7-2, 1-0 and their next League match is against Los Alamitos at the Fountain Valley Golf Course.
