Out of the 94 events that took place, the Barons won 77, completely sweeping the competition.
Boys Frosh/Soph were 5-0 in league. Boys junior varsity were 5-0 in league. Boys varsity was 5-0 in league.
Girl’s Frosh/Soph were 5-0 in league. Girls junior varsity were 5-0 in league. Girls varsity are 4-1 in league and need one more win to effectively secure the champion title.
Rising Freshmen Noah Carr and William Hua both ran noteworthy times of 4.48.29 and 4.45.64 in the 1600 meter run. Carr said, “I thought it was a good meet overall; it was windy but everybody got in some practice before League Finals.”
Breanna Roy (’13) and Shelby Peppers (’13), who placed first and second in the Girls 200-meter dash, said,”We’re tired but we’re still looking forward to Sunset League Finals to just cap senior year.”
In all individual 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter dashes, both girls and boys placed first.
Girls Discus, Shot Put, 4x100 Relay Team, 4x400 Relay Team, and Boys Distance, Hurdles, Long Jump/ Triple Jump/High Jump, 4x100 Relay Team, and 4x100 Relay Team placed first in all events across all levels.
With the track meet based on a point system of the top three garnering points on a 5-3-1 level, the results are as follows:
Boys
- Varsity: 110-26
- Junior Varsity: 102-28
- Frosh/Soph: 113-23
Girls
- Varsity : 85-51
- Junior Varsity: 86-39
- Frosh/Soph: 119-8
“This is the third League Title for the boys team with an undefeated season, and with them, definitely having the possibility to repeat again next season,” Coach Bivens said. “The girls need to win the next meet to be League champs and I do see them winning another League title next year, seeing as they are young up-and-coming runners.”
