Tucked away in the city of Burbank rests the Warner Bros. Movie Studio. The movie studio houses its backlots, soundstages, movie prop house and much more. People have the opportunity to go on a tour to see what the studio has to offer and the tour is well worth your time and money. There are four different kinds of tours with each providing a unique experience than the others.
Studio Tour
The studio tour is the basic tour that Warner Bros offers. Tickets cost $69 for adults and those over 11. They cost $59 for children aged five to ten and $57 for Southern California residents aged five and up. The tour lasts three hours, with one hour with a tour guide and two hours self-guided and shopping. When I went on this tour last week, this was the package that I did.
The tour goes through the three backlots throughout the studio, with occasional opportunities to go into a soundstage. The guided tour ends at Stage 48 where you could take pictures on the Central Perk set from Friends and sets from the Big Bang Theory.
Following Stage 48, are the “DC SuperHeroes”, “Super Villains”, “Harry Potter” and Fantastic Beasts sections where you can see memorabilia from all the movies such as wands from “Harry Potter”, the Batmobile from the original “Batman movie and costumes from both movie universes. Lastly, you have the chance to hold a real Oscar from one of the Warner Bros. movies that won an award.
Classic Tour
The classic tour largely focuses on Warner Bros.’ golden age, 1923-1970s, of movies and TV shows. The tour starts off with a tribute to the Classics and you will have a tour guide that is specifically trained for the Classic tour guiding you through iconic classic movies and TV shows. Just like the Studio Tour, tickets cost $69 for adults and those over 11, $59 for children aged five to ten, and $57 for Southern California residents aged five and up. The tour lasts three hours with one hour with a tour guide and two hours self-guided and shopping.
The Classic Tour is basically the same tour, that being the same features, as the Studio tour but it is centered around the 1923-1970s.
Studio Plus Tour
The Studio Plus Tour is an upgraded version, with a longer tour, more amenities and other benefits of the Studio Tour. Tickets cost $149 for adults, $128 for children and $125 for Southern California residents. The tour lasts four hours, two hours with a tour guide and two hours self-guided and shopping.
The bonuses that come with the Studio Plus Tour are complimentary beverages and pastries, an exclusive screening room for the video about the history of the studio and an included lunch at the Central Perk Cafe.
Deluxe Tour
The Deluxe Tour is the premier tour that Warner Bros. provides with all the elements of the Studio Plus tour plus even more special perks. Tickets cost $299 for all ages five and up. The tour lasts six hours with three hours with one of the most knowledgeable guides the studio has to offer, including one hour of fine dining lunch and two hours self-guided and shopping.
The bonuses that the Deluxe Tour includes are the historical focus that is offered in the Classic Tour, complimentary beverages and pastries, exclusive lunch at the Commissary which an executive chef prepares specifically made for you meals, snack at the Central Perk Cafe and you can visit the move props department where all the props for Warner Bros. movies and TV shows are held.
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour is worth the time and money, it is a very unique experience that not many movie studios have to offer. If you are a fan of movies and TV shows, then you should go experience the tour for yourself whenever you have the chance.
