The Girls Field Hockey team was ready to dominate on Tuesday, September 6th, when faced with their first pre-season game against Glendora.
However, after an unbearable first half, the Varsity girls kept their heads up and hopes alive. Hard effort was put in by all the girls, but Glendora shut out the Barons in a 0-7 loss.
“We kept our heads up and stayed determined,” said Alyx Merickel (’14).
The girls brushed off the loss with dignity and immediately began preparing for the next game on Tuesday, September 13th.
“We tried our best, but we’re still getting used to being a team,” explained Valerie Stark (’14).
This loss made the field hockey team even more driven to win the next game. Keep an eye on these girls as they hope to steal the sunset league title.
